small update for today. not really working on it today cuz i've spent about 17 hours on it so far and should probably take a break. took a couple of pics really quick though before i ran out of light just because it looks a lot better that way haha




need to figure out a good way to fix up the chipped pieces. also need to figure out what to do with the ears :/ and let me know what you think of the nose!

so every now and then i get a craving for mcdonalds, so on friday when cori's flight was like 30 mins late (and i was already on my way to pick him up x_x) i took the opportunity to satisfy the mcdonalds craving i'd had all week.

well the guy at the window was flirting with me >_____< and touched my hand when he took my card... i was like D:!!!!!

i've never been touched while at a drive-through before, and it occurred to me that it's kind of strange that something as simple as a brush of fingers can stand out so much o_O

and our christmas lights! i found red and green ceramic lights :D :D :D like oldschool christmas lights! very exciting hehehe but we can't connect more than two strands, so there are five extension cords on the house ~_____~ and a few bulbs are out, i need to buy replacements. also you can see the man tree in the garden window n_n

I think its horribly amusing, that after modding Miere's eyes by hand (mostly. i have a cheap  "chizzel-it" tool i got from acmoore that helped a lot near the end~) i look at the top of my LJ page and see an ad, simply put, for the "Dremel 4000". riiiiiiiiiiight. I think it's making fun of me. XD

i hate when i get a sales newsletter (like from jcpenney or something) and it's like FREE SHIPPING!!! because alaska is always excluded ;______;

there are no iphone apps for acquiring hookers.

spent five hours today working on the stitching >.< managed to mess up the MSC in a couple of places, which hopefully i'll be able to fix tomorrow :/

starshipangels sent me a christmas present :3 some mini sweets and a little wrapped present for meryll hehe i did a photostory of her opening it but i haven't edited the pics yet... prolly will do that now and get it up in a bit i guess

So i've had this pair in my head for a while, and decided Kairele could easily be Mana's secondary character....and had no mold for Miere. I did a few shoots using my other boys in place of him, but it just didnt work. Miere got his own mold, and after getting my sleeping Karsh head in a certain FL split (<3), i got to finally have him. Miere is a sleeping Karsh, with his eyes modded open by me. My first mod job, on a freaking head with no eyewells. i'm crazy, but i love him more for it, i think. His eyes are a bit wonky, since i think i might try to get him smaller ones (and maybe a different color?i need eyes that pop as well as these do, and something that looks good with his hair, and hopefully not creepy XD  they dont need to be the same blue or match that outfit, since he won't always be wearing it, since its more A'evry's than his, buuuuut thats cause i'm lazy, lack boyclothes, and they use the same body. XD; )   Kairele/Mana is a mnf Ryeon. Just a few pics, though i've got their sort of intro story thing here on DoA ( 5 more pics under here~ )

Wow, so I JUST got back from watching Avatar...and my heart is still pounding O-O
I just...man, WHERE to even begin?! I won't post any spoilers, so no worries if you want to read this but haven't seen it yet.
I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of trailers (ie, every trailer that they made, lol) and I was still taken aback by the sheer scale of this movie. Oh, also, make sure you watch it in 3D. It really makes the experience. I have heard that people called the story line rather bland when they watch it in 2D, and I have to admit, thinking back on it, that the storyline itself is quite simple, and pretty predictable. However! When you throw in the factors of the world that it is placed in, the people, their culture, and on top of that, the absolutely MIND BLOWING graphics that truly bring this world to life, you don't even notice, lol. Which is just fine with me, i think. I am not the type of movie goer that needs some super complex, or unexpectedly clever script to make a movie enjoyable (not to say i have low standards, i expect good writing and acting, even if it is a simple plot)and I think that had Avatar been a really complex story, it would have just been buried alive under the weight of everything else that the movie had to offer. I quite liked that it was simple, made it light, and easy to follow while all the action and astoundingly gorgeous backgrounds were flashing around in front of you. I have to say, this new 3D is Amazing. It really does put you THERE, in the story with all of the characters. when the main guy is being chased by a giant monster, or in some big battle, your heart is pounding and you feel like you're there with them. truly astounding! Even hubby was really impressed, it was fun to see him walking out of a movie actually grinning like that XD He has ridiculously high standards for films (makes movie watching with him quite hard sometimes, lol) and i could tell he really enjoyed Avatar.
Like I said, the story were simple, and the characters were too, however, you're so wrapped up in every little thing that is happening to them, it really endears them to you, even if you don't get a bunch of background on them all. Not to say that there wasn't some very interesting little twists in the plotline all together. i'd go more into my favorite bits, but I'd hate to ruin for everyone. i definitely plan on seeing this again before it leaves theaters!!!
But yeah, GO WATCH IT NOW. and make sure its in 3D, lol.

mostly finished (um... just the head lol not the ears or body) so i popped her old eyes in for some pics cuz i couldn't find some 16mm that looked better :B i've started gluing on the twine but obviously haven't finished yet.

so... today started out fantastic in all sorts of sarcastic ways. bailey has been eating all of her food lately, which is good. but she and sabre were outside and went runnnnnnning across the yard, and pulled the dog run out of the side of the house >.<;;;;;;;;;;

i put about 12 hours into the curo today . . . i feel like i got nothing done. of course, that was split up with me having to walk around outside every hour or two with the dogs =___= the second or third time those damn kids (i don't remember if i even posted about them last time, but pretend i did) were playing in our yard again >.<;;;; so i had to tell them again to not play in our yard... so they just moved to the corner of our yard next to christina's yard -__________- so i had to yell at them and say the ENTIRE yard.

then at some point i found blood in the kitchen from one of the dogs... i still have no idea which one of them was bleeding, but bailey is acting sulky so i'm assuming it's her?? but i can't tell where she's bleeding from o_O;; but she's been sulky since the run broke so she might just be sulking cuz of that. no idea.

anyways, now it is bedtime, because my eyes are fucking exhausted and my stomach is KILLING ME OMG because i was starving i guess??? even though i've eaten small things throughout the day so i should not be that hungry. but i ate some oatmeal :/ and now i need to take a shower because my hands feel dryyyyyyyyy (between the MSC and the W&N) and then just curl up in my nice and warm kitty-covered bed =3=

and for the record yuki looks insanely creepy without ears >.>

oh, and i pretty much finished the head. there is a little more i need to do, but i glued the twine into the mouth so i can't coat anymore tonight.

i'm replacing my pipos curo with a rooney (for those who missed my post last night)... so i figured i'd have some fun painting it up! here is a shot of how it looks so far :P i won't be sharing many in-progress shots of the head but will try to share more of the body if i can.



(that is the base of the head in the back there, it is done up in light green gingham. the head obviously will be brown gingham, and the nose and ears will be solid.)

i've decided that i'm going to replace yuki with a grey rooney... maybe if she is a different size and color than buttons i will like her more :/ i mean, those who have watched me for a long time know that she was not planned and also know i don't like having multiple dolls with the same bodies sooo yeah. and maybe she can be more robot-y if she is grey instead of white. i've been thinking for a long time that maybe i should just sell her but i don't want to just ditch the character. so i will sell the curo and get the grey rooney, and hopefully yuki will have found her place.

that being said, i have a fun project now >____>

let's just say i now have a blank curo, lots of twine, and a few long nights ahead of me...! >:3

starting tomorrow, because it definitely took me almost an hour to get that damn default face-up off and my fingers are a little raw from the W&N
